The White Horse Caravan Park, Holme-next-the-Sea

Why choose The White Horse caravan park in Holme-next-the-Sea?

Located in the quaint village of Holme-next-the-Sea, The White Horse caravan park is currently undergoing redevelopment, which we’re sure will make this already popular park even more desirable.

Once refreshed, caravan holiday home owners will enjoy improved landscaping around their plots.

The village already draws praise for its charm, as well as the renowned bakery and pub – The White Horse.

With the Norfolk Coast Path and sandy beaches just a short walk away, this is an attractive option for those looking for nature and landscapes to discover from their holiday home.

We will share more information and photographs later in the redevelopment.

Holme sits in an area of natural beauty with strong heritage all around. Connections to smuggling are evident in nearby Thornham, while Brancaster Beach was used for training for D-Day landings and is home to an ancient Roman fort (Branodunum).

Further afield, the stately homes of Holkham, Sandringham and Houghton are all worth a visit, as are the ruins of Creake Abbey. Each offers a varied programme of events throughout the year.

The White Horse caravan park is located right next door to a lovely Grade II listed pub of the same name. Serving up excellent menus, it’s a great place for lunch or dinner. Excitingly, a bakery was added in 2025 in a converted barn, with artisan bread, pastries and delicious coffee to really make your mornings.

Up the road in nearby Thornham, Drove Orchards is a popular spot for food! With fish and chips, pizza, ice cream and a bakery, there’s something for everyone.

With several pubs in the village too, you really are spoiled for choice in Thornham!

Natural beauty

Holme lies between marshes, dunes and beach, meaning there are plenty of habitats rich in biodiversity and waiting to be explored!

The Holme Dunes reserve (part of Norfolk Wildlife Trust) provides a peaceful, unspoiled stretch of coastline to enjoy.

You can walk east to Thornham or west to Old Hunstanton via the Norfolk Coast Path and other trails.

Family fun

The nature reserve is a great place for children to spot birds, insects and small creatures in diverse habitats, while bike rides, gentle footpaths and village strolls are ideal for younger legs.

Nearby family friendly attractions include Holkham and Sandringham with their play areas, nature trails and events.
