Our expertise is second to none and we always go the extra mile for our customers. Don’t buy 'just a caravan,' buy a McDonnell Caravan.
Free time is priceless. With all the strains of modern life, the time you spend with your loved ones is precious. As a family business, everyone at McDonnell Caravans understands how to help you get the most out of your weekends and mid-week breaks.
Mr McDonnell Snr was visiting a neighbouring garage back in 1966 when he spotted the land that was to become McDonnell’s flagship sales showground. He purchased the plot and transformed it into our first sales facility, displaying the latest static holiday homes and touring caravans.
Back in the Sixties, the average price of a touring caravan was around £300 and a new holiday home would have been about £500. We still have photographs of these original art vans so you can see for yourself how far they have come in terms of technology and design over the past four decades.
Modern static caravans and touring caravans are state-of-the-art works of engineering that are designed to appeal to the eye, offer every home comfort and, in the case of the latter, to be easy on the fuel tank.
Mike McDonnell took the business over from his father in 1983 and the company now employs 25 hugely experienced staff (some of whom have been with us for more than 25 years) who are helping more and more people to discover the absolute freedom and choice that only a caravan holiday can offer.
McDonnell's headquarters remains at the original showground in Gayton but the business has evolved over the past four decades and now owns seven beautiful holiday caravan parks along the stunning Norfolk Coast from Snettisham to Brancaster.
